剧情：
罗素（让-保罗·卢弗 Jean-Paul Rouve 饰）是一名犯罪小说家，他的作品曾经红极一时，很受读者的喜爱和追捧。然而，近日里，罗素的写作遭遇了瓶颈，他发现自己竟然无法再写出有趣而又吸引人的作品了。罗素的一位远房亲戚去世了，留给了罗素一些遗物，因此，罗素来到了位于法国和瑞士交界处的小小村庄里。 一起谋杀案的发生震惊了整个村庄，亦引起了罗素的好奇，死者是名为坎迪斯（苏菲·奎茵顿 Sophie Quinton 饰）的女子，她是当地赫赫有名的美人。警方跳过了调查和取证阶段，直接将坎迪斯的死定性为自杀，这让敏感的罗素发现了其中的可疑。职业习惯让罗素决定靠自己的力量，调查事件的真相。
